Pros

The company vehicle is about the only positive I can spare about this sinking ship and prehistoric no good operation. It's sad I have nothing good to say about this book company.

Cons

The management at the HQ in NJ is lost and living in the age of the dinosaurs. The Bad: If you have a family the management team in your region will suggest you ignor them, work 18 hour days and Sample every book known to man to every teacher in your territory. The company computer program called Socrates, is buggy and the laptop they give you is nothing short of a piece of garbage out of the 1970's. If you are married they frown upon it.. If you have kids be sure to see them on weekends as Pearson does not see the value in a family. All they care about is selling the stupid books and cram that down your throat daily. Who the hell even uses books or will use hard back books with the technology we have today? If you enjoy being a Yes Man then work for this company. If you have two brain cells run from Pearson!

Pros

When a project goes according to plan you can work with some great people and make decent money.

Cons

Bad behavior is tolerated when you have a weak team member. They are allowed to remain on payroll, even if they do not effectively contribute. The burden is often placed on the team members willing to pick up the slack. Promotions are not given to the most qualified. They are randomly assigned. There are some horrible scoring directors as a result.
