Pros

Not many remain. They pay well and have good benefits.

Cons

regular lay offs / firing decisions handed down from multiple levels up the management chain. They don't appear to consult the division / management who actually know what the team needs are to determine if letting people go makes sense. Recently this has caused several extremely important projects to be shelved, possibly permanently, because of the institutional knowledge lost/removed from these rounds of layoffs. Frequently these occur after a team/person is moved to a new group, and the higher-ups decide that they need to shave off some of the workforce. It seems most likely to land on the new/lower people who lack seniority in the division. This happens even if the division actively objects and wants to keep these employees.

Pros

When a project goes according to plan you can work with some great people and make decent money.

Cons

Bad behavior is tolerated when you have a weak team member. They are allowed to remain on payroll, even if they do not effectively contribute. The burden is often placed on the team members willing to pick up the slack. Promotions are not given to the most qualified. They are randomly assigned. There are some horrible scoring directors as a result.
