Pros
A huge plus is the strong team dynamic. Colleagues are dedicated and supportive, working together to achieve the shared goals of a safe and compliant operation. The focus is always on helping both the client and the company succeed, and it's clear that people are committed to one another.
Cons
The pay is not competitive for the areas where the company operates. There's a pervasive feeling that the company favors its Winnipeg base, and that employees and operations in other locations are not valued as highly. This is reflected in management support, which is often lacking, and in the lack of base managers at many locations. The union is not a strong advocate for its members, particularly those working away from the main hub. It's concerning that a number of new hires who have been let go seem to be from different cultural backgrounds or have English as a second language.
