Pros

Talented colleagues, very flexible accommodations for employees (work from home), decent compensation. A definite change in pace and mission for a software engineer, when he/she is working on software in the healthcare space

Cons

Health benefits! Ridiculous out of pocket expenses before insurance kicks in. Facilities are kind of old, but there are some signs they're trying to modernize, albeit slowly.

Although our remuneration packages match those of other global industry leaders and we conduct regular analysis to ensure we offer our employees a wide and competitive range of benefits, we would have loved to hear otherwise concerning the health benefits. Our ‘Workplace Innovation program’ and global employee flexibility policy were designed to facilitate strong work-life balance for our people so it might be a good thing to have a chat with your HR representative concerning these topics. We’re celebrating our 125th birthday this year and we’re very proud of our heritage. Transforming a company such as ours can take time, we want to make sure we want to do it the right way. We’re happy to hear that these changes are already visible to you and we hope that, just like your career with us, this will bring great opportunities for our future together.

Pros

The people in non- upper management roles that work there are fantastic. Great sense of community onsite and the culture champions are consistently looking for ways to make work life better.

Cons

Very poor communication on the strategy for the business unit. Leadership publicly promotes innovation and new ideas to be presented but then those ideas are shot down or penalized in private by current upper management. The business unit leadership says that don't want excuses for project delays but will then decide to do 3 major layoffs in the first two quarters with no transition plan, no support for gap in resources and no expectations to delayed progress.
