Pros
Qantas has a high performing culture full of amazing people. It’s genuinely such a pleasure to work with most of the people. Everyone is willing to chip in and find pathways to achieve success together. The main benefit being Staff Travel is also excellent! The opportunities to travel around Australia and around the world are endless. Some staff who worked at Qantas prior to privatisation lament the ability to travel premium cabins at peak times which are less possible now however if there’s one thing you can find at Qantas, it’s people that are keen to look at travel options together with you! There are so many options with interline partners. For many areas, there is also the opportunity to purchase up to 4 weeks of annual leave which is amazing
Cons
As with any organisation, there are pockets that have a bit of politics. The company is also still building up capabilities since Covid so there are some areas which are still quite stretched and lean. However I’ve watched this get better and better in the 18 months that I’ve been here.
