Pros

- great communication with management and other staff - dedicated to pairing Clients with caregivers who share the same interests - great hourly pay rate compared to other HHA agencies - benefits (dental, vision & life insurance and 401k) but it takes a long time to be eligible if you work P/T

Cons

- Haven't come across many evening shifts - they only tend to staff one client per caregiver, in my experience. This changed the longer that I've worked there (2 years).

Pros

I learned a lot through the pre-hire training and the orientation process. I think Renewal is doing good for a much neglected section of the population and I am excited to join the team.

Cons

So far, I haven't encountered any cons, but I do think this job will be challenging in that I will have to unlearn a lot of the stigmas and stereotypes around dementia and possibly learn to deal with loss as I get closer to clients and form relationships.
