Pros

The other associates made work a little more bearable

Cons

- Can’t view schedule online, it is a paper schedule that is always wrong because what is on the computer (peopleworks) is different. It would be convenient to be able to view the peopleworks schedule online from home to avoid discrepancies in your schedule. - You are scheduled to come to work on a day you requested off (and was approved for) - As an SPS you are required to be at the front of store greeting customers when they come in as well as when they leave the store. It is very repetitive. - You are required to say your job description every single day to your manager who does the “check-in”. We know what we are supposed to do so there is no need to repeat it everyday. - As an SPS you will get your break and lunch after the cashier. I have worked shifts where I never get my last break. - 30 minute lunch. - Sometimes you can’t take your full 15 minute break because you will get called back to the sales floor - When the store gets busy, the customers will call you lazy because you have to stand at the front and just observe. - You are forced to stand at the front, you aren’t allowed to leave the front. It is hard to see the back of the store from where you are at.

Pros

Pay is decent. Bonus structure is decent. Hybrid model. Summer Friday's through summer. Student of the business model. A lot of learning and grow your own opportunities. Care for your success in your role. Many opportunities to grow with the company, you just need to be out spoken and put yourself out there. Casual dress.

Cons

Busy work. Depending on the area you get assigned to work load and flexibility can vary. Favoritism. Can be a high stress environment. Certain areas do not believe in work life balance. Management love to micromanage and listen to themselves talk. Many meetings. Meetings that can be emails are your day in and day out. The actual office space is dated. In the heart of DTLA, very unsafe surroundings. Advised by management to not walk around outside of the building.
