Pros

Salary is okay… Commission is alright… Some great co-workers

Cons

Depending on your manager, the one I had was really gung-ho on micromanaging, daily meetings (what a waste of time), refuses to repeat answers to your questions, expecting you to understand the first time around, extremely direct with concerns or issues etc. Your team members that have been there longer will pull some shady activities to meet their numbers, everyone but the new members know, even team leads and management. But it’s just part of the job. You will start realizing what it is within a few months. I felt like a car salesman or even selling snake oil. If you have no moral compass, believe in sales > customer service, you will thrive here. I felt dirty working here after a year.

It sounds like you had some really good experiences while you were here at Sage, and we're really happy to hear about that. However, we're really sorry to hear of the bad experience you had with your manager, because that kind of behavior is not acceptable. We have high expectations for the values and behaviors for each of our colleagues and those in management and leadership positions.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
