- Really stellar colleagues on ground. They do their best on a best-effort-basis. Plenty of well-deserved compliments that were never accounted for. - Allowances used to include transport and dry-cleaning, if I am correct. Not so sure after I left. - Salary paid on the 21st of every month; if it falls on weekends, then by Friday. - True ambassadors of Singapore. The first point of human contact entering Singapore; keep up the good work, because I've been there before too, to see and know all this happen, LIVE. Thank you for making it a pleasant experience!
Cons
- Completely better benefits for the staff. When I joined in 2014, my contract did not have free airline tickets, let alone travel perks, compared to the cabin crews. So such plans are strictly on-your-own-expenditures. - Shift work. The airport never sleeps, so the shift timings are very taxing; more so if you live beyond the East area, where the airport is located. - Very hectic schedules. When manpower is undermanned, please be prepared to slog it out. - Ambassadors for Singapore. Unfortunately, they must also bear the grievances of irate travelers who miss their flights, get delayed, and process sometimes very challenging situations. - Please forgive me if I did miss out anything of concern.
