Pros

You will occasionally be given gratis if you attend training (you have to be selected to attend in the first place)

Cons

No work life balance. Always expected to work weekends even if you A/L the day off. Have to ask to you the restroom/get a drink of water and most of the time refused (a basic human right refused because the floor is ‘too busy’). Called ‘lazy’ for not feeling well and calling in sick. Strong favouritism. The favoured will always get invited to exclusive events. Very low salary when compared to similar jobs Head office and managers are close friends. So if you ever feel like you need to provide feedback about managers to HR, they will get defensive. Just an overall unpleasant place to work and the high turnover says it all.

Pros

Friendly, knowledgeable, supportive coworkers. Management is generally pretty good. You get to work with all the fun products and learn directly from brand reps. And the customers are there to learn about the products - and you get to talk to them about the best products. If you're excited about Sephora, go apply!

Cons

Hours vary based on the time of the year.
