Pros

Free products and brand training with big Makeup Artist.

Cons

Culture was : Do or Die for Sephora. Pay is less for a BSA compared for Skin Specialist even though we are doing more and doing the job of Skin Specialist on most days. Managers only priorities KPIs over well-being of staff. They will ridicule you on the floor and still expect high performance from you after. They expect you to work outside your hours (preparing themedays) and complete online learning. You are frowned upon if you make a mistake at work. Managers have a huge bias/favoritism with their co-workers that are their friends. Competition against team members are encouraged to prove yourself. Feedback culture is so extreme, that you get feedback after every client, its always more critical then encouraging. Most managers don't even have a makeup artistry background .... how are they managing makeup artist ?

Pros

Friendly, knowledgeable, supportive coworkers. Management is generally pretty good. You get to work with all the fun products and learn directly from brand reps. And the customers are there to learn about the products - and you get to talk to them about the best products. If you're excited about Sephora, go apply!

Cons

Hours vary based on the time of the year.
