Inconsistent business practices - Store Manager Shopalix Employee Review

Alixandra Collections is extremely enjoyable to work for, especially if you love fashion. I always look forward to coming into work every week. You are always recognized for the hard work you put in and the successful results you get. This was my first business of fashion position and I would not change it for anything. The owners and team are flexible with the time you can dedicate to working, as with me, I simultaneously am pursuing a masters degree, while they still keep me on the team, with the need of less hours to maintain my intense school schedule. The team is friendly and supportive of you and extends the positive attitudes of the small business mentality. Growth of the team has seemed top of mind to the Alixandra Collections team. Highly recommend if you like to be challenged and work in business of fashion, around a corporate team that is supportive of you.

The pay is understandably less as a small business rather than other corporate businesses.

If you are hard working and self driven you will go far in this company. The owners/ managers will not micro manage your daily tasks and you are free to make the position your own. If you show your loyalty to the company with your work ethic, you will be met with the same loyalty from the company. You will get as much out of your role as you put in If you are someone who needs to constantly be told what to do, this company may not be the best for you. It is not a job requirement to wear all clothing from the store, but connecting with the brand is a huge part of this job. It is easy for me to communicate the AC brand to customers since I love what I am selling. AC has something for everyone and makes it easy to want to represent this company. (The employee discount also helps too!) Company culture is that of a big extended family. Not a day goes by that I am not belly laughing with my coworkers at some point in the day. With a lot of different personalities it keeps it interesting but at the same time it makes coming to work that much more fun. I love knowing everyone in the company and am excited to see this company grow.

- Being a smaller business, they are unable to compete with corporate benefits offered at other companies. - It is retail and there will always be high turnover rates throughout the year which sometimes leads to staff shortages
