The important stuff: - Good base salary and very good compensation plan with various multipliers to increase monthly payout. - Fantastic team where everyone can play on their strengths and is supported by their colleagues and managers. - Comprehensive training weeks to cover all aspects of the company, the market, your role and the products etc. to ensure a strong start. - Continuous training throughout to strengthen knowledge and skills. Buddy programs, active 1 to 1 coaching sessions with your manager and inter-departmental sessions etc. - 100% transparent, structured career pathway for clear promotion steps. - Products that are continuously being developed and improved, resulting in achieving industry awards and top customer reviews. - Clear openness for feedback on all levels and across all departments and a genuine desire to improve the company, the processes, the products and bring everyone and everything forward, from a large-scale global level to the individual, personal level. The small things that make a difference: - Proactiveness from SiteMinder to reach out to employees during COVID lockdowns about mental and physical health and support - Fantastic team atmosphere throughout, with various groups for social activities e.g. book club, podcast club, running challenges, charity and holiday events etc. - Good employee extras regarding eg. public transport, WFH flexibility, office food and drinks, fitness and more. - If you are struggling with something, you will find nothing but help and support. If you are doing well, this will be recognised in the team and also up the management levels. - Sales are getting fantastic support from marketing to bring in business and generate awareness. New business is converted quickly with onboarding specialists in close partnership, which increase customer happiness but also tightens your sales cycle and allows you to hit your targets easier, quicker and in turn enjoy your commission sooner. In summary: This is not a wolf of wall street setting. You become part of a team that is part of a global initiative to drive the best products to the customers. We work hard together and help each other to achieve our goals. Your contribution is made clear and compensated well. The great team atmosphere is just the cherry on top and makes going to work daily easy.

Cons

Speaking specifically for my department: Sales is and always will be fast-paced and bring all sorts of unexpected opportunities. There is always potential for stressful moments, but that's not unusual for the role. However, due to the team set up and the training and resources available, both experienced professionals and people new to the hotel-tech industry are successful here. SiteMinder as a whole: COVID has caused any and all employment roles to become difficult, and not surprisingly so in the hotel-tech market. However, between the proactive strategies from management and SiteMinder showing great flexibility and support during WFH lockdown periods, I am still able to hit my sales targets.
