Pros
People you work with are great, such an open excepting work environment mostly.
Cons
Quantity over quality. The company had high hopes before it was sold, the now board cares nothing for piercing only for profit. The expectation of staff is ridiculous! Pierce back to back all day, but find time to sterilise and do all the deep cleanings, fill out all the little day books, but don't stay longer then 15min past shop closing. Staff with no piercing experience are expected to be 'qualified' in lobes, helix, navel in the first few weeks. Nipples are next for training, due to popularity. The training regime isint structured around piercing and its complexity, it's structured around what is more popular so they can they make more money sooner. Navels and nipples are too complex for baby piercers to just be thrown into. The non piercers in head office calling the shots will never comprehend. They don't care one bit for the clients, offering externally threaded mystery metal as an option is one thing, allowing external basic steel in complex piercings such as high nostrils is negligent. They sell fashion jewellery claiming it's 'titanium' but neglect to tell the client that it in fact coated with a cheap coloured coating similar to paint. THE PAY!! Get paid less then someone who works at Aldi or coles to work your frigging butt off doing something that requires years of experience to finesse. If you have mental health concerns or are neurodivergent make sure you keep it secret, they will push you out. Upper management is only concerned about profit and not about the safety of staff or clients.💲💲💲
