Pros
Same perks/benefits/comp you’d get at any tech company
Cons
The People team at Snap is truly the most dysfunctional, toxic place I’ve ever worked in my career. I wouldn’t even tell my worst enemy to work here. The “leadership” team consists almost entirely of incompetent, power hungry HR people who manage recruiting for some unexplained reason. There is zero transparency and you’ll get burned out in a year or two from the never ending work because the team is always short staffed. Whether you get a promo is determined 2x a year by heads of each team within People, who you probably never work with directly, so if you don’t spend 6 months sucking up to someone on the panel you’re never getting promoted. Your career will stall out as long as you stay at Snap. Nowhere is it more clear that “kind” is a BS Snap value than on this team.
