Pros
Working from home was a great perk. So are the awesome employees there. I worked with some awesome people.
Cons
It's amazing to me how seemingly well-educated, intelligent human beings can run such a failing company. They're great at hiring – don't get me wrong. I worked with an amazing group of smart, hardworking, dedicated individuals (for the most part). However, the stifling change and break-fix decisions of management, as well as HR's inability to do anything other than spew unkept promises and be a puppet for the owners, left the company in a constant state of turmoil. You could never feel secure or content with your job as you knew every Friday the next batch of nonsense and changes would be thrown upon you. Their leadership-level employees are mostly useless and don't know how to lead or manage. Having remote managers hiding behind their computers does not benefit the company, that's for sure. Square 2 refuses to let people focus on their jobs/skill sets, and instead try to force them into taking on 1. Too much work and 2. Excess tasks and objectives that just stifle actual performance. It's really a shame to watch what two egotistical leaders can do to a company. They clearly don't care about the discontent. Employees are just replaceable cogs in their money-making machine. I don't imagine there's a happy employee left.
