Pros

Unlimited vacation (albeit you'll never get to use it) Work for home

Cons

The lack of transparency Serious financial problems (I'm still waiting on my last check from 4 months ago) Powerless leadership Emotional owners Be prepared for an underwhelming work experience. The owner (mainly the sales guy) are complete bs artists who will sell you a dream on how they care about their employees. When you wake up from that dream and decide that you want to move on they will treat you as if you don't exist. I didn't go into the office for nearly two weeks and they didn't notice because they were that done with me. When I started I was excited to be a part of a fast growing company but shortly after stating the growth stopped and they began to lay off their employees in drones. Soon they had reduced their staff by 50% (yes, you read that right). The final straw for me was one Friday morning were in a meeting where they announced to a select number of employees that our pay was on hold until further notice. Not to mention this was on payday (which is monthly). I was in disbelief especially since I had no warning and was struck trying to cover my bills. I knew then that I needed to get out before they closed the doors. If you have bills to pay and expect your job to do the very least and pay you... Do yourself and favor and stay the he** away form this place. Everyone is looking for a way out and it's been nearly four months and I have yet to receive my final check. I watched them make excuses about peoples final check but never expected it to happen to me. So sad...

a very "meh" professional experience

Pros

ability to work from home. co-workers are smart and funny. office decor mimics chipotle, and who doesn't love that?

Cons

near-constant, accelerated growth and change to processes cripple the entire organization. if you like attempting to sprint while smacking your head against hurdles repeatedly, this is the place for you. the end result: burn out, bad vibes and a bunch of bull for bandaids. this may not sound unique in the spectrum average jobs, but it feels rather silly when a company mantra is "remarkable or nothing." looks like we've opted for nothing.

Pros

Working from home was a great perk. So are the awesome employees there. I worked with some awesome people.

Cons

It's amazing to me how seemingly well-educated, intelligent human beings can run such a failing company. They're great at hiring – don't get me wrong. I worked with an amazing group of smart, hardworking, dedicated individuals (for the most part). However, the stifling change and break-fix decisions of management, as well as HR's inability to do anything other than spew unkept promises and be a puppet for the owners, left the company in a constant state of turmoil. You could never feel secure or content with your job as you knew every Friday the next batch of nonsense and changes would be thrown upon you. Their leadership-level employees are mostly useless and don't know how to lead or manage. Having remote managers hiding behind their computers does not benefit the company, that's for sure. Square 2 refuses to let people focus on their jobs/skill sets, and instead try to force them into taking on 1. Too much work and 2. Excess tasks and objectives that just stifle actual performance. It's really a shame to watch what two egotistical leaders can do to a company. They clearly don't care about the discontent. Employees are just replaceable cogs in their money-making machine. I don't imagine there's a happy employee left.
