Pros

- The employer provides high quality training of both hard and soft skills. - Great atmosphere between coworkers. - Open communication throughout the whole organization. - Great benefits (health care insurance, sick days, family days). - Overtime is actually discouraged - if it is really needed it is paid. It is very important for the company that their employees have a balance between your work and personal life. - A lot of room to grow professionally and economically. - Starting salaries are above the country's average. - Mentoring is fostered throughout the whole organization, everyone wants to be of help and not only provide a solution but teach you the methods to reach that solution. Technical people have patience and empathy towards non technical people and clear all doubts anyone might have. - The CEO has a great attitude, she is very positive and inspiring. Puts into practice what she preaches. - Work never gets boring.

Cons

- Not so much a Con since it usually applies to all jobs, but I believe everyone wants to make more money than they currently do :D

Pros

I can only attest for the account I was appointed, the team had amazing individuals with solid development skills. The client was superb. Between us there was a friendly atmosphere full of transparency, open communication, and collaboration.

Cons

-Lack of benefits. -Lack of growing opportunities (expected from a small company). -An alarming rate of turn-over. -Low salaries. -Short lived accounts and only a few active at any given time. -Vision is not clear, they call themselves a consultancy but don't act as such by deceiving clients to follow technologies they don't need or want without clearly stating what are the benefits. -The CTO is out of his mind and needs to gain some people skills, is condescending toward staff and doesn't listen to suggestions. Lacks vision due to his devotion to impose Haskell and vendor-lock clients due to his passion to the language. -CEO is unqualified for the position but a good person. -The company keeps making mistake after mistake and do not learn from them.

Unfortunately, for contractors, we are prevented by law from offering benefits. The hourly rates that we pay to contractors and full time salaries are competitive and allows us to have such an amazing staff. While we are committed to growing our staff of full-time employees in the Quito office, contractors in general need to find their own learning and growth opportunities, outside of the many tangible ways they can grow within our projects. We work on large software projects, and have a small team so we are limited in terms of the number of projects we can take at any given time. However, most of our clients have worked with us for multiple years, which we think is a very strong testament to our talented team and management. We are sorry about the experience that you had with management. It does not seem reflective of the experience of our current staff. Unfortunately, we have had to part ways with some staff over the last few years due to an unpleasant environment that it created on the team, and we are happy to have an extremely positive team presently who are committed to the success of our projects and company.
