Pros
Lots of opportunities to move within organization Big push for people to become salespeople Good benefits Financially strong company
Cons
Started as a family-oriented company with a nurturing environment. One of core values to 'develop people,' which is really just lip service. When it comes time to help people grow and develop, people will always fall below the No. 1 State Farm priority of making a profit. They are trying to reinvent themselves to be more like Progressive, and are losing their core values in the process. It's become a dog-eat-dog, giant corporation. People are clamoring for survival, chewing each other up just to hang onto their own rung. Ethics and integrity have been thrown out the window.
