Pros

- Remote work - Talented group of individuals - CEO (former CEO now, I think) was very hands on and polite. Shout out to Kate

Cons

- Incredibly high turnover with recruiters, look at what has happened to their last 5-6 recruiters and you'll see that something has got to give. There is no way that the each and every recruiter was the problem here, which is why there are only two remaining. - High churn and burn with an unrealistic expectation of reqs to fill - Fake authenticity and genuineness - Mundane, obligatory meetings - Nepotism/favoritism within back-end remote team All in all, Steyer Content was a subpar place to work that featured people who were good at what they do and I'm sure meant well....but did not necessarily understand business ethics/morals. This, unfortunately, was especially evident with management. There were a lot of backdoor conversations that took place, example being that instead of having someone contact you directly, you hear about their discrepancies from your manager instead who had nothing to do with the situation. When a simple problem could be solved head on between two parties but instead gets management involved, that could build resentment amongst employees and damper relationships thus causing employees to seek other employment options. Secondly, the amount of volume seemed high given the pay scale. I understand they are a small content creation company, but year after year they have been profitable and should be able to fairly compensate the recruiters who are bringing in the content creators that make money for the company.

Pros

Steyer has been an incredibly collaborative and thoughtful place to grow my career. I’ve had the opportunity to work on high-impact projects with major enterprise clients, partner closely with smart and supportive leadership, and continue expanding both my strategic and creative skill sets. One thing I especially appreciate is the level of trust and ownership given to employees. Leadership genuinely invests in people’s growth, creates opportunities to take on meaningful work, and is receptive to new ideas and perspectives. I’ve been encouraged to stretch into larger responsibilities, work cross-functionally, and contribute beyond the boundaries of a traditional role. The culture is professional but highly human — people are collaborative, communicative, and willing to help each other succeed. There’s a strong emphasis on thoughtful work, quality output, and building long-term relationships with both clients and team members. For anyone looking for an environment where they can grow, contribute meaningfully, and work alongside talented people on complex projects, Steyer is a great place to be.

Cons

As the company continues to grow, there are still opportunities to further standardize certain internal processes and systems. Additionally, because Steyer supports a wide range of clients and industries, experiences can vary somewhat depending on account placement and project type.
