Pros

Very intelligent and friendly employees. Everyone is top-notch in their job and put their 100%. Good compensation and incentives plan from day 1, fairly generous defined pension plan, lots of of training modules available.

Cons

The leadership is changing, many rounds of layoffs from AVP level to middle-management are happening internally. Its a Matrix environment, but very inefficient processes. Every collaboration/question/etc has to be done through 1-hour meeting. Its a norm that 7 out of 8 hours working day is consumed with back to back meeting.

Pros

Sun Life provides competitive benefits, remote work opportunities, and the chance to work alongside knowledgeable professionals. The company offers strong learning opportunities within the disability and leave management space.

Cons

Staffing reductions and increasing workloads have made it difficult for some teams to maintain service levels while preserving employee well-being. Leadership communication and support can vary by department.
