Pros

Pros: - Truly remote (and was before the pandemic) - Engagement with some fun and talented people from around the world. - Flexibility of schedule - SSC recently added MLK Day and Juneteenth as company holidays as well as a day off for your birthday (for full-time employees) - SSC doesn't stray from topics that were once considered taboo in the workplace. Ex: Celebrating World Religion Day, and encouraging employees to share their stories around faiths of all kinds. - SSC welcomes those who have side hustles and companies

Cons

- Global Contractors do not receive all of the benefits that full-time US employees do - Company is going through some growing pains as it scales - More diversity needed at leadership levels

Pros

It is a fully remote environment.

Cons

Leadership wants to generate as much cash as possible for the investors. Very little interest in growing the products. No interest in taking care of their employees, building morale, or supporting career growth. They have done nothing but reduce the size of the company over the past 4 years since the new leadership team took over. They asked me to fire seasoned software engineers in order to rehire new engineers at half the cost. I pushed back and got fired ultimately.
