Pros

- The People… I worked with some amazing coworkers that made coming in worth it each day

Cons

- Leadership… Leadership at the top fails to delegate which slows decision making. They are too involved in things and decisions they shouldn’t be and it erodes trust and stunts growth. It’s clear that the Executives are not used to leading a large organization, thinking strategically and leaving the tactical decision making to their subordinates. Culture - it’s clear now that this is an employee second profit first company. It didn’t used to be that way but since the merger every move has been to increase the shareholder position (which also benefits senior leaders) while reducing the workforce. It’s shocking how when the company was smaller and less profitable they seemed to care more. Now it’s all lip service and rah rah events then another round of layoffs and late nights - Technology… T-Mobile would like you to think they’re involved in tech but in reality they’re just a really well marketed brand. They’ve constantly struggled to update systems and bring customer enhancements (not to mention security) because they don’t have the skill or patience to get the work done. Now they think they can bring in AI to “enhance” their Care and Retail experience. I’m not optimistic and given how we used to be a people first company I think it’s a bad cultural shift. Opportunity - it doesn’t exist. I’ve seen so many people in leadership development programs or win awards like PEAK get let go. It’s crazy how it doesn’t matter at all what you do to better yourself… if you don’t kiss the right rings you’ll never lead at T-Mobile.

Cons

Leadership Scheduling Work/life balance Stress Broken everything - half of the tools and resources don’t work No room to grow your career anymore unless you suck up. If you’re blunt and honest you’ll be an outcast - they’ve fostered an environment where they only want cheerleaders. Constantly changing goal posts Frequent restructuring
