Pros

Great atmosphere in the office and good Co-workers. They do a great job of finding awesome employees that they unfortunately brainwash into thinking they will find success here.

Cons

If you want to spend 60-70 hours a week trying to "build" your career with no real guarantee of advancement, this is your place. If you don't want to have any sort of work-life balance and want work to become the only focus of your life, this is your place.

I'm glad you enjoyed the office and co-workers. The people that run the company have all started in an entry level role, like the role we are hiring for. They have become successful, along with the many examples of people who also began in that same role within the company and were trained to transition into a management role, representing one of our clients. There are too many examples of success to negate that people cannot be successful. You must not have spent limited time working with us to think that. Our advancement structure is based on merit, so it may actually be among the few places where you have complete control over your advancement. I'm not sure what your experience is, but most other companies do not allow you to dictate whether you get promoted or not, the company just decides (unlike ours). There are also plenty of examples of people with families excelling in our company. Family is a value of ours. Why would we not inspire young professionals to try to be something? It's a shame that you don't feel that everybody should aspire to be something. The most amazing part of our business is the ability to develop individuals to reach their full potential and "aspire" to be great at whatever they choose. We believe in the people we hire. Some of those people may take the skills we teach them and move on to do something great somewhere else and some will grow in their career paths with us. We strive for a win-win no matter what. We wish you luck in the future.

Pros

Working at Talem+Plum has been one of the best decisions of my life. As a typical college student, I did not personally have much money nor have much of an idea of what I want in life. No doubt, I work hard and have a great attitude. Talem+Plum knows how to bring the very best out of people, challenge them to reach their fullest potential, and reward them by reminding them of their worth.

Cons

Honestly, your perception is reality, so your experience with Talem+Plum is what you make of it. The company truly lives up to who and what they say they are. Employees here are solution-oriented and have an incredible, positive mindset. I truly believe there is no such thing as having anything but a positive experience with Talem+Plum. Naturally, it is an incredibly positive company, so it is up to each and every employee to contribute positive energy and in turn enjoy a positive experience for themselves.

Pros

The community within the company is very strong and they genuinely do care about each person in the office. I felt extremely comfortable by the end of my first week and continued to feel that support the entire time I was there. The people in the company were definitely their biggest attribute. Everyone was extremely fun, supportive, dedicated and excited to be there everyday. I've never worked for a company where the employees genuinely like each other and go out of their way to spend time together outside of the office. While working at Talem and Plum I had the opportunity to learn a lot about sales, communication and business that my college degree didn't provide. Although I had studied business, working at the company gave me real world experience and the opportunity to gain more skills in a lot of different fields and find out where my strengths were. The managers make themselves open to anyone looking for advice or coaching. I really loved the open door policy with the management team and the feeling that they actually care about my questions and helping me succeed.

Cons

The company hours are different then the typical 9-5 which can make it tricky depending on your family situation and other obligations you have. They really do want every team member to be committed to the company, so if you aren't 100% in it for the long haul it can be overwhelming/frustrating, but it's a great opportunity if it is what you want to do for your career.
