      Pros

      Start-up vibe, cool office in the seaport, dog-friendly, snacks

      Cons

      Pays employees well under market, and there is no respectful work/life balance. Management does not have a clear vision and changes up department structure frequently. They are not transparent about these changes and don't seem to take feedback seriously (even when they ask for it). Employee expectations are repeatedly not managed, and it's not uncommon to be hired for a specific role then have your title changed out of nowhere.

      Change can most definitely be a constant at startups, and it’s something that has been rather familiar to Teikametrics. To help manage change, we have increased clear and transparent communication from leadership, inter and intra-team and feedback loops up/down and across the organization. Since expanding our Global People Team this past year (I started in May!), we have worked to better understand our employee needs and meet those needs introducing engagement surveys, new programs, benefits, cross-functional committees, evolved performance feedback / system, etc. We have also done an audit of our benefits, pay, etc which informs us on how we’re doing competitively and how we can stay competitive. We have already rolled some of those changes out and will continue to in 2021 and beyond Your advice to management rings true. Our employees are our most valuable assets, and it is our goal is to take care of the team, so we can not only maximize the potential of all our sellers, but of course our people.       It's remote so you won't get to hangout with all the cool people you work with.

      We appreciate that you took the time to write such a nice review. While working remote can be a great benefit, one of the downsides is not seeing your coworkers and getting to know them in person. To get that in-person connection, we encourage our local employees to come together in our WeWork spaces whenever possible. Thanks again for sharing your perspective as a contract employee.

      Pros

      A lot has changed at Teika recently, and honestly — it’s for the better. We’ve brought in new leadership, fresh talent, and are focusing on building products that actually move the needle for brands. The AI features we’re rolling out (like Smart Pages and generative listings for Walmart and Amazon) are some of the most exciting things I’ve seen in my time here. It finally feels like we have a clear product vision and a roadmap that makes sense. There’s real momentum now. The newer hires are sharp, energized, and bring a modern approach. Teams are getting leaner and more focused, and we’re being pushed to move faster and think more strategically. The vibe internally is much more “let’s build something impactful” and less “let’s maintain the old playbook.”

      Cons

      Not going to sugarcoat it — change is hard. Some longtime folks left or didn’t align with where things are going, and that always creates some noise. A lot of the negative Glassdoor reviews seem to come from that moment of transition. I get it — it’s not always smooth when a company shifts gears. But if you’re someone who likes solving problems, being part of something evolving fast, and actually delivering value — this is a good place to be right now.
