Pros

Colleagues in teams really care about the work and work hard. Passionate teams to work with. Good holiday allowance over the Christmas period. A wonderful cause and service users are amazing.

Cons

Lack of respect or care for employees from the top. Overworked staff, unrealistic expectations of what staff can handle and deliver after cutting staff back over 50% and increasing workload. No support for employees resulting in burnout and many people signed off for mental health reasons associated with work. Immoral treating of staff, blame shifting and power over in the form of money. Information withheld from the top down and lying to staff about these matters. THT do not like anyone to be outspoken and challenge them for their behaviour, this results in gaslighting and bullying and removing that member or staff. Staff are disposable to THT. Erasure of EDI matters and Ableist behaviour, when pulled up on this no accountability or change. Does not feel like a safe space to work with a CEO who is unaware of his misogynistic, transphobic and ableist behaviours, and has hand picked his team around him. No in staff support as EDI team have been cut.

Pros

I had a lot of autonomy over my role and a high degree of trust was placed in our team to get the job done. I got management and training experience beyond what I expected. The people I worked with were great.

Cons

Can come across as disorganised. Programs working with young people have little to no investment put in them for resources and training compared to the HIV work, despite those contracts bringing in a lot of money. Very little room to progress, would have to look elsewhere.
