Pros
- A nonprofit whose mission supporting children and families is reflected in its own support of its employees' children and families. - Hybrid work environment. - Organization contributes 5% to employees' retirement (not a match, just an automatic 5%). - Good health insurance options. - Texas CASA's position as a statewide nonprofit allow it to work with the system/legislature to advocate for children across the state by addressing systemic issues - e.g. working toward IDs for all children aging out of foster care, whether or not they have a CASA volunteer.
Cons
Flat organization; most promotions are due to someone retiring or leaving.
