Pros

I was previously proud to say the company I worked for a company that took care of their employees and followed the Azimuth in all decision making, but it feels as if a switch has been flipped by senior management since beginning of Q1. The majority of colleagues care very much about their coworkers and clients.

Cons

Unfortunately the “Bean Counters” are now at the helm, and senior management seems to have strayed from following everything the Azimuth stands for. They are hurriedly rushing out half-baked changes by outsourcing work over seas with a full speed ahead, no matter if it works or not, mentality, while still expecting significant client retention and growth.

Pros

Excellent benefits, competitive compensation, and strong career growth opportunities in several business segments, particularly Employee Benefits, Construction, and Property & Casualty. Baldwin has talented employees and many parts of the organization are well positioned for long-term success.

Cons

Unfortunately, my experience within the Medicare division has been very different. Over the past two years, I have watched communication, transparency, and leadership steadily decline. Important decisions appear to be made without meaningful input from direct leaders or a clear understanding of the data and day-to-day realities of the business. The recent termination of two highly productive senior agents is a prime example. Their departures hurt morale, created uncertainty across the team, and will likely have a significant impact on fourth-quarter production. Employees are left questioning whether performance and experience are truly valued. Communication from senior leadership within the Medicare division is inconsistent, making it difficult for managers to effectively lead their teams. As a result, trust has eroded, morale continues to decline, and many employees feel uncertain about the future. Throughout this period, I have observed several costly leadership decisions with little visible accountability or ownership. I have never witnessed a leadership team become so disconnected from the employees closest to the business. It is disappointing to watch a business segment with tremendous potential struggle because of avoidable leadership failures. My concern is that by the time these issues are acknowledged, many of the people who built the division's success will already be gone.
