Flexible work hours. The work is really high quality, demanding, rigorous and precise. It was a great opportunity to learn in-depth about technical detailing. A place for self-motivated individuals. The office is structured more like a studio or atelier, and the principal was always available to discuss details and answer any questions I may have.

Little room for personal design contribution as principal is largely in charge of design. For some designers this could be seen as a negative, although I learned a lot and it was a good stepping stone for me personally. Not a great place for egos, or for people want to be design stars.

Good jobs executed with an eye to careful detailing and execution. While the work environment could be stressful, once you settled-in the staff was mutually supportive and the work engaging.

Since the office went completely remote in the wake of the covid epidemic, it seems to have become more difficult to get a sense of the full scope of projects. Less stress but also less engagement.
