Pros

If you have 10-12 hours a day to give to transcription, you might make a decent living.

Cons

My experience has made my mental health worse. My therapist agrees that this is a toxic company. The pay is awful. Transcriptionists do the hardest work but only receive a fraction of what's brought in for a job. (On a good day, I make roughly 28% of what a client pays for the service.) I do not make a living wage. The staff (TMs) are rude on Yammer. If you have an opinion they disagree with, they will gang up on you about it. Several members agree that toxic positivity is practiced. If you're not praising the company, they don't want to hear it. Review policies have no rhyme or reason. It could take a week; could take a month. No one will communicate anything about this to you, even if you ask questions. I never walk away from a day of transcribing without feeling depressed and angry with myself, that I've given so much time to this company for so little in return.

Pros

sounds great on paper. promised to make you a part of a highly professional, well paid organization

Cons

no upfront information on actual salaries/remuneration. getting through the training is extremely time consuming. after spending copious amounts of time and energy preparing to take the "pre" qualification exam, failed not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR times. Each time, there is absolutely NO feedback on what you did wrong. So it's impossible to course correct. After all the hours spent and attempts to be accepted, the site shows they're not even accepting applications by way of taking an actual qualification exam. Their qualifications are extreme. I say this as a published author, former high school teacher, and holder of a Master's Degree. I've never had any problems with punctuation or with following format. Used their style guide to ensure I was doing everything right. Total waste of time.
