Pros

-Great training. -Lots of support on claims. -Huge company = lots of places to go/grow. -Conservative financial practice which leads to job security during recessions. -Pension.

Cons

-They do not care about this generation of employees who have decided not to ignore their families and commute hours a day for absolutely no reason (no reason was ever given to us). -Despite amazing performance and results company-wide, we still had to come back into the office on a hybrid schedule to do exactly what we were doing at home. -Wages/raises suck in comparison to other companies and don’t even keep up with inflation. Sometimes you get no raise at all, not even a COLA adjustment. Pay is not even close to competitive in the Bay Area. -Forget about getting any flexibility if you are a working parent of young children. They do not care. -Caseloads are way too high, they are always saying help is coming but the turnover is so high that if there is any help, it’s always temporary until someone leaves or goes out on leave or switches roles. -Politically on the right, lots of Trump supporters in the older employees. Diversity is a joke.

Pros

I love working for Travelers. It has a strong culture built on integrity and collaboration. Leadership is visible, accessible, and genuinely invested in the success of the business and its employees. There are real opportunities to grow your career here — the company promotes from within and supports professional development in meaningful ways. I've seen colleagues advance significantly, and I've had the same opportunity myself. Travelers truly cares about its customers and the value insurance brings. Great team atmosphere and tremendous co-workers. **Cons:** The pace is fast and the workload can be demanding, especially in Claims. This is not a 9-to-5 environment, and candidates should come in knowing that. That said, the expectations are clear and the work is meaningful. **Advice to Management:** Keep doing what you're doing. The culture and leadership here are genuinely differentiated — don't lose that as the company continues to grow.

Cons

I don't consider it a con but some might - the pace is fast and the workload can be challenging, especially in Claims. Company is cutting edge so you should be prepared for change and continuous development to meet the business environment. That said, the expectations are clear and the work is meaningful. If you like to be challenged this is a great place to have a career.
