Pros

Very difficult to find pros even after it has been over a year of employment with this company. HR/Finance managers were helpful and easy to work with. Most of the consultant staff were nice and easy to work with as well.

Cons

Basically, if you were not a top consultant you did not matter to the partners. I was hired as an executive assistant with some office manager duties but I spent most of my time at Costco buying the consultants snacks and drinks. Not to mention most of the time this would fall under my own personal time. To make matters worse; I would only get feedback of "why didn't you get this" or "I want that". I was also expected to clean up after the consultants which was not part of my job duties as they are all grown adults. Having to put someone's dishes away and clean up there mess after eating was not what my education and background should be used for. The finance manager was overworked and overused. He was the go to of the partners for everything and seemed to get little credit for all he had done. One of the worst parts of working at this company was the unprofessional negative talking the consultants and partners would do. If you were not a top performer or an asset to the partners you did not matter. Multiple times I would hear the partners and the consultants together discussing a team member that may have not been as senior or strong as the others. The few months I had worked there I was only talked to when something was needed or if I did something wrong. My time spent on interview set ups/ meetings and events was never thanked for or even noticed by the partners. But if I forgot to put someone's dishes away and clean the food they threw in the sink; I would be sat down and talked to for my wrong doings.

Pros

Smart and amicable people with a great culture. Career progression is rapid and steady as long as you are a good employee and deliver on projects.

Cons

Minimal adjustments for location and salarybenefit package is a bit lower than other consulting firms, but probably proportional to the hours worked.

Pros

there were positive experiences but the negatives overwhelmingly outweigh the positives

Cons

This may be the unique experience of an individual employee, however, TIG has proven to be a huge disappointment in its ability to carefully assess whether all new hires are equitably provided accommodations upon joining. After starting my role, I learned that that some of my peers who onboarded around the same time were offered extended delays (~2 MONTHS) to their start date, while I was requested to begin work ASAP without any relocation support, even though I was employed at the time of the offer and needed to move hundreds of miles. By being subjected to this negligence as a new employee, I was in essence set up to struggle with burning out from the challenging transition between jobs, and trying to understand and adapt to the company's numerous deficiencies in the initial several months of my role.
