$21 an hour as a 17 year old straight out of high school was pretty good I lost 20 lbs due to all the moving around I only worked the days that I called in You're apart of the Teamsters Union which is quite reassuring After the season ended, I was offered a job in the warehouse which came with full time hours, full time benefits, and a pay raise

Quality of life is very dependent on where you live and work, in sunny temperate California I enjoyed the time I spent outside working Must invest in proper, well fitting footwear or else your feet and health will suffer Sometimes drivers could be reluctant to accept a Driver Helper on their truck which led to some mornings where I had to call in again in order to get them to contact me Sometimes you run into unleashed dogs, sketchy neighborhoods, and harassment from random people
