Pros

There isn't any pros. Everything is a "Con" and someone needs to come out and investigate. I knew this job was too good to be true

Cons

This company is very unprofessional and the managers/supervisors are very rude. The first time around I've worked here I was suppose to be "Driver's Helper", during orientation (in which I didn't get paid for) we was told that the driver was suppose to "Meet Us" in our area no further than 10 miles.  The driver tried to get me to come out to Buckhead which is more than 10 miles from Douglasville, Ga. I called the coordinator to report the situation (as we was told) and the coordinator got upset with me and hung up in my face. So I called the manager because I decided to quit because they was very unprofessional. They kept on calling my phone asking did I want to meet them to start working, (remind you that I had already quit) I tried to explain to them that I already quit but they kept insisting that I should work. So one of the manager's offered me a position inside the warehouse so I gave them one more chance. Wish I would've never did that because the situation got worse. I was told that I should start December 11, 2017 at 6pm, I got there around 5:24pm to find parking and from that moment I stood in the cold with 6 other people. We was told to wait for some guy (in which he was unprofessional as well) so he can take us to the floor. So time went by while a coworker and I conversed with one another, I look at the time it was almost 7:00pm and we was still in the cold. So I call the guy and he didn't answer. So he walked pass us (not knowing that was him) and didn't say anything to us. So now I'm beyond angry because he came back around 7:15 (an hour and 15 minutes after our shift suppose to had started) saying "who y'all waiting for". So i spoke up and said his name, he said with an attitude "well I'm the guy and i didn't see y'all right there"! I was shocked because he seen us and he had the nerve to lie, yell and become very rude. So I asked "is all of your names ******", he replied with anger "yes thats everyone name"!!! So now I see that this company is full of crap and i decided to leave like some of the other crew did. I called cooperate and they stated "there was nothing they could do and that I needed to talk to my manager or supervisor", how is that when they was the one's I was reporting. I also still didn't get my check from the "Paid Orientation" that I attended around the beginning of November. Moral of the story is NEVER WORK FOR UPS IN ATLANTA, GA.  Location  270 MARVIN MILLER DRIVE ATLANTA GA 30336

Pros

The pay is excellent .health care is 100 % paid with 100 %coverage...with exception to eye and dental which is about 70%..coverage...pension is outstanding..full package with wages and benefits is worth 130,000 yearly..without a college education I am grateful for the standard of living UPS HAS AFFORDED ME AND MY FAMILY!...and with 27 years of service I now get 6 weeks vacation with 8 sick days..and 9 paid holidays...we work hard like many people in the work force but we are well compensated!.

Cons

The only con is while your children are young you give up a lot of family time..I never got to watch my kids play sports and missed a lot of their growing years...the job can be hard on your home life but if you can make it through those years you and your family will enjoy the financial freedom that UPS provides...and now I look forward to a prosperous retirement!...so hang in there all you young drivers...
