Pros
I started at UPS when I first got out out of school. In retrospect, I’m really happy it was my first job. You learn a lot and have the opportunity for exposure. The salary is decent and the benefits are nice.
Cons
UPS is working on their work-life balance, but it’s a massive corporation so it’s taking time. It also just depends on what group you are in. The worst part about UPS is the “peak ready team.” They did not do one to my knowledge for 2018, but in 2017 I (and many others from the corporate office) was sent to work in a hub for about 5 weeks between thanksgiving and Christmas, and all I got was a mug. This is also not necessarily a “fun” place to work. Most employee events have an awkward vibe, because again, it is so big. That being said it is what you make it!
