Pros
Decent pay and benefits. Pay seems low at a glance but once you add the benefits it turns out pretty good (housing, food, medical). I did a 4 year run and didn't regret it. Got out with a new car, savings, and money for college.
Cons
Office politics. I absolutely had no desire to rank up and babysit people. Unfortunately the longer your in, you tend to be more of a manager rather that the doer. If you like a job where you actually work, the military kinda loses it glow after you rank up. Involves so much paperwork and report writing.
