Pros

Upper management sponsors advancement in education through on-site degree programs. Very competitive to private sector positions in salary. High job security. Social events and amenities allow for interaction between coworkers on a regular basis.

Cons

Pay increase not performance based. Benefits not as good as expected. Depending on position, work can be required outside of regular hours. Red tape impacts progress and ability to complete work. Terrible computer network.

Pros

- Paid twice a week - Health insurance - you get to move around

Cons

- you get degraded constantly - the base pay is basically nothing and the BAH doesn't keep up with the rise of the cost of living - they'll kick you out after 10 years for the mortal sin of being transgender - the health coverage would be great if you didn't have to go to completely incompetent military doctors
