Pros

Fair salary, benefits, tuition reimbursement. Fair amount of paid vacation time (but good luck trying to use it). Child care on site (higher than usual tuition). Fitness center onsite w/ low cost/fees. Variety of on campus dining (mediocre food and high prices). Bottomline, it's a good place to gain experience if you're beginning a career or obtaining licenses or designations b/c there's not the pressure of comission - but after several years it "gets old". Promises of promotions and raises are always right around the corner, but seemingly never realized.

Cons

Call Center to the MAX. Call Center environment is difficult to foster investment relationships/business due to extreme time restrictions on returning phone calls from clients/members and following up w/ clients/members to close business. Additionally, once initial training is completed there is NO ONGOING Advisor development. It's promised but not delivered b/c management is constantly in meetings with EACH OTHER. Also, b/c of the Call Center stats legnthly (necessary) documentation required by FINRA was not generally support - just the minimum.

Pros

Life work balance, great benefit package and nice colleagues. The goal of the company is providing the best service to its members. So, they treat employees the best to encourage them to do the same for members.

Cons

Slow IT support, limited interactions with industry. Banking business is not as mature as insurance.
