Pros
If this is your calling, as it should be if you're entering hospice, you're really going to be satisfied by what you can do for your patients and their families. Your patients are everything, helping them is the most rewarding part of the job, but can also be the hardest part if you're not supported by management.
Cons
Poor field staff support and job training. Training for employees is not as fluid, timely nor organized at it should be. This results in highly stressed field staff. Staff aren't supported in numbers (i.e. an improperly staffed team), this results in an increased work load and decreased ability to provide proper patient care.
