Pros

Flexible with time off requests (with good advance notice) 10% discount on taxable merchandise 2 weeks paid vacation plus personal hours sick hours occasional bonuses ranging from $15-200+ very nice co-workers

Cons

SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED- always expected to do 2-4 people's jobs in one shift to make up for lack of employees MANAGEMENT TREATMENT of hourly workers ranges from rude to terribly demeaning NO REWARDS/ RAISES based on good job performance CUSTOMERS-many are demanding & rude, MGMT. always takes side of customer-even blatant theives and scammers WORK LOAD is UNBEARABLE most of the time NON-EXISTANT LOSS PREVENTION POLICY- watch as anyone and everyone goes right out the door with hundreds of dollars in merchandise...NOTHING is done to stop it

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
