Pros

Salary, annual bonus is great if store is successful

Cons

Store Managers will use and abuse your status as salary. Expect to work over the scheduled 50 hours consistently. Will lose days off consistently. Expect to have little time to do job role as outlined and majority doing the work not completed by others. There is no job in the store that you won’t find yourself doing. Expect store managers to chase metrics not drive the company “visions” of empowering associates and development. Processes are out of touch of reality. Thin teams to do massive workloads.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
