Pros

It pays decent. Some stores are fun. Management gets consecutive days off. Bonus potential is good for most established stores.

Cons

The pay is not commensurate with the agony. By far the most stressful, meaningless, busy work I've ever had the misfortune in being required to perform. I outlined very clearly what I didn't love about my previous management experience. The recruiter assured me that being a manger at Walmart was different, it's not, it's much worse.

Pros

I worked at a small store which gave me the opportunity to have a good rapport with my co-workers and the customers. There is lots of opportunity to advance at Walmart.

Cons

Things are constantly changing, so you have to adapt. The new generation, it is hard to find "hard workers"

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
