Pros
The discount. That's it.
Cons
Wayfair has promoted itself as a company that values people, but nothing could be further from the truth. The bottom line is that Steve and Niraj only care about profits and absolutely nothing else. It is because of this, the employees suffer. 1. If you happen to earn a promotion to a different level around the same time as your yearly performance review is up, you will not receive your annual raise. You will only be compensated for upskilling. This results in some employees not receiving annual raises for YEARS. 2. The company pushes its values while at the same time conducting business with organizations that violate basic human rights. 3. The company's guidelines for its call quality are ridiculous. Every few weeks, they find new things you must remember to include on calls. No one is meeting the metric. 4. Your bonuses are directly tied to the company's overall feedback. If the customer rates you high, but the product low, your chances at receiving a bonus drop--dramatically. 5. The call volume can be insane. So many people have left the company that those who remain are being punished for doing so. There are days that the call flow is so horrendous, that you cannot catch a breath between calls. 6. Coachings are designed to assist the consultant with pinpointing how he or she can improve their performance. However, at Wayfair, it is a demoralizing experience that is nothing more than a tiring mental and emotional experience.
