Pros

Good products, but bloated code base is making it harder to deliver new features. Generally happy and patient customers who seem invested in our success. Lower stress environment than other companies like us despite growth. Good place for early career people to get a few years at a reputable company.

Cons

‘Great Place to Work” is more religion than fact. Mediocre comp and advancement potential, too much old PeopleSoft deadwood in senior management with no real vision. New hires are not the quality needed, just people who live in the East Bay willing to take a pay cut for a shorter commute. 97% customer sat is a myth, based on selective sampling.

Pros

Workday is a truly values-driven company, and you can feel it every day. We’re in the middle of an exciting transformation to drive more innovation and speed, and while that has meant making some tough decisions, those decisions are always grounded in our core values. Employees and customers are consistently kept at the center, and there’s a real sense that doing what’s right guides how we operate and where we’re going as a company.

Cons

Decision-making can sometimes feel slow and unclear, as it’s not always obvious who has true ownership or final say. In a few areas, especially HR, leadership can feel more oriented around selling and positioning our products than around deep, hands-on practitioner experience, which occasionally creates a gap between strategy and the day-to-day needs of employees and managers.

Pros

If you land with the right team and manager, it's great. Good AI tools for productivity. At least the reign of Carl's awkward and forced sensitivity is over.

Cons

Have started eliminating all remote roles. Recent RIFs have started toxic "land grabs" and VP infighting. Keep chasing the next shiny new object instead of addressing toxic mismanagement.
