World Wide Technology Response
11yThanks for the comments, and we're grateful to have employees like you working with us!
We are acutely aware of the importance of maintaining the culture as we grow. We have started by focusing on the onboarding process, allowing nearly all of our project team new hires to spend two months on a low pressure internal project to give them a chance to learn who we are before they join one of our client teams. While they are on this team, they also get about two weeks of training in Agile philosophies and technical disciplines, and these classes are constantly being refined to better meet our needs. We've been executing this program successfully since late last year and have already seen it bear fruit in better integration of new hires with our teams.
Keeping our culture needs to be something we're all committed to, however. Don't allow your team to compromise on delivery without discussing what you see and making sure everyone understands the risks. Hold each other accountable to treating your teammates with respect and keeping expectations high. Never stop seeking ways to improve. If everyone commits to keeping this a great place to be a software developer, we're going to have a much better chance of continuing success.
