Office morale very low, and has been for a while, entirely down to the presence and actions of the current CTO (appointed in the autumn of 2015), who has a very short fuse and very little patience.
Staff members tend not to disagree nor cross paths with him when conversing, for fear of job loss or some other form of reprisal and as a result provide lip service more often than not. This will ultimately be to the detriment of the company, and sadly great news for our competitors.
The CTO does not acknowledge his staff most of the time, very sad to see. These are the very people who should be looking at him for inspiration, guidance and as an effect be motivated to deliver a fantastic product and service for our customers. It's uncomfortable to be in the same office as him. There is a sense of relief when he is not present.
