Pros

- Great location, heart of the city centre - Almost all staff friendly and approachable - Passionate and caring CEO - Open plan office environment makes for easy collaboration with peers - Great opportunity to learn

Cons

Office morale very low, and has been for a while, entirely down to the presence and actions of the current CTO (appointed in the autumn of 2015), who has a very short fuse and very little patience. Staff members tend not to disagree nor cross paths with him when conversing, for fear of job loss or some other form of reprisal and as a result provide lip service more often than not. This will ultimately be to the detriment of the company, and sadly great news for our competitors. The CTO does not acknowledge his staff most of the time, very sad to see. These are the very people who should be looking at him for inspiration, guidance and as an effect be motivated to deliver a fantastic product and service for our customers. It's uncomfortable to be in the same office as him. There is a sense of relief when he is not present.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re pleased you’re enjoy the office location and environment, friendly colleagues and Jim will be glad to read your kind comments about him. Learning and the opportunity to develop is hugely important to us so it’s great to read you’re experiencing this too. We’re really sorry you feel morale is low. We’ve gone through a period of change which can take some time to embed, with the new ways of working and the aligning to the company vision. We will pass on your feedback to Jim and the leadership team and we do ask that you come and speak to either a member of the Engagement team or Jim if you have any concerns or recommendations for improvement. Rest assured the vision remains the same and the customer remains centric to all decisions. We hope that you continue to stay on the journey with us. Kind regards, the Engagement team

Pros

lots of incentives to earn - its feels good to get rewarded for doing a good job and working hard - I've worked in places where it wasn't even noticed let alone rewarded unlimited overtime - more money & more opportunities to make money

Cons

High pressure environment where skill doesn't always mean success - you need to be comfortable with not being the best but wanting to learn everyday and giving 110% effort everyday to get the most out of it will have to say goodbye to the odd Saturday/Sunday or off day

Pros

Free cans of drink Nice views of Manchester on some floors

Cons

Oh boy where to start, the company hires big groups every 2 weeks, usually 15 people at a time, that should give you an idea of turnover... The carrot is obviously the promise of high commissions if you hit your targets, the stick and what they don't put in the brochure: - Your entire comms are docked for literally anything, QA, say one word wrong, don't sell enough warranties, you're losing up to 50% - OT is paid at 1.5x pay, what they don't mention is if you don't hit target you don't get paid at all for overtime (I'm pretty sure that's illegal) - The Sales Managers are all clones who micromanage every second of your day, everything you do is measured, not just call call time, breaks, wiping your nose. - You are basically gaslit into thinking the Zuto way, if you disagree with practise or their views, you'll be shamed in front of the entire sales floor and accused of 'not getting it' - You're selling too poor souls who have terrible credit and you are then berated when a customer won't accept a 46% APR - You're expected to work way past your hours of 8:30am - 6pm, if you don't, you'll be bullied

Thank you for sharing your honest perspective. We’re sorry to hear that your time at Zuto didn’t live up to your expectations. As a high-performance, high-growth business, we never want that drive to come at the cost of our team’s wellbeing or work-life balance. We’re always looking at ways we can better support our team and ensure everyone feels energised. Regarding our pay and commission structure, we aim for it to be both fair and rewarding; hearing that this wasn't your experience is concerning to us. We value your feedback and we’ll use it to review our processes for our teams. We wish you the best in your next chapter.
