Pros

- Some perks like coffee and lunch - Most individual people are nice - General tech company vibe - Learn about the banking tech industry quickly

Cons

- Very disjointed top executive group from my perspective. They all seem to work individually and there has not been clear direction at all - Along with above theres been baddd communication. People got fired and it just seemed like leaders were so disorganized with no plan - Culture has worsened. Theres clearly a group of 15-20 that basically own the culture then theres over 100 people who just… watch,. Seen this get worse over the years. - Leadership saying almost nothing clearly during firings and strategy shift led to employees all gossiping and worrying about who will be next…… - hiring top executive for probably a lot of money who came in and swung his sword around and then firing people was weird - Gossip of no bonuses this year and they already pulled the mid year bonus. Also no one has any idea at all of anything like if we will have any pay raises and when? Another review below mentioned inflation adjustments but I dont expect such a thing at all - ive heard Managers just give employees raises randomlyand if youre not a star there is no clear plan for you

Avoid at all costs

Pros

- Previously good perks - Generally nice people

Cons

- There is very little transparency about why they laid people off. They never really announced it, put people just disappeared slowly for months until eventually they cut a bunch of people at once. I haven't gotten a clear answer from anyone on why those who were let go were let go. Some of it makes no sense and seemed to be like aimless cost cutting. - There is a core group here of staff who are favoured. If you get into this group, it is those who are actually promoted. This group however works way more than they should. It feels like this group is the teacher's pets except they are at work and they are all adults. - The compensation is really under market value, especially for the work being done. The benefits are laughable for anyone who actually has any health conditions. It feels like FISPAN's strategy is to hire young, desperate staff who will take a lot and take a bare minimum pay check when in reality, they are underpaid. They took away bonuses with short notice when many people use that money to supplement their income. No amount of equity makes it worth working at FISPAN when it is already clearly headed in a poor direction. - I haven't seen anyone say this yet, but the product itself can be flawed and flakey. It is embarrassing that we work with high level clients, name brand companies, yet FISPAN's product is so flawed. Having to defend the product to clients or try and come up with reasons why it behaves so strangely is embarrassing. Trying to get answers from people about issues requires asking like 20 different people and then you have to wait forever for the fix to be addressed. - Key teams are understaffed, overworked and burned out. - Everyone here is white.

Thank you for taking the time to give FISPAN feedback. FISPAN prides ourselves on being a company in which inclusivity is a key core value. FISPAN’S underrepresented groups stand at over 50% with an equal gender balance in our upper management team. We also encourage open communication between teams and their leaders. Whether that may be communicating burnout, job enrichment or the strive to take on more challenging tasks. We do this through our team meetings and 1:1 meetings with team leads. We encourage both top-down and bottom-up communication and transparency so that our leadership team can make more sound decisions and keep all employees informed. We are taking your feedback into consideration as we value the experiences of our FISPANers.

Pros

Good banks signed and obvious potential Free coffee Newer and mid range employees are very welcoming WFH option is a huge benefit Generally smart people

Cons

Brought in outside upper executives and then fired off a bunch of existing liked employees with almost no communication to the organization on why? There was terrible Communication from managment and poor leadershipz Need a PR division or something. Took away weekly lunches which was areason we came in Unclear salary progression and feels like they dont want us to talk about it.., Feels unwelcoming to others sometimes as certain groups are favoured clearly No inflation adjustment AND they revoked our bonus this year. Not sure if they dont expect some to find better jobs that value us more.

Thank you for your candor and feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your experience at FISPAN is not as expected. We strive for the highest level of organizational communication and transparency, and we are currently working on further improving streamlined top-down communication. A main pillar that FISPAN was built on is the notion of inclusivity, and we honour all of our employees and their feedback. We have adapted our lunch program recently to align with a semi-monthly cadence of structured meetings and have expanded to offer a monthly lunch budget to remote employees. We have spent a number of months developing career paths and levels for each area of our business and will be rolling these out shortly to all teams, aiming to make the growth path through FISPAN clearer. We will certainly be taking your feedback into consideration as we pride ourselves on valuing the people of FISPAN.
