Pros

Let you take time off usually easily, albeit this is NOT paid time off.

Cons

No vacation hours for full time employees, no holiday pay for full time employees unless you were actually physically working on that holiday, extremely short staffed, very low pay. This company literally only gave its employees a $1 raise when the state of Texas Department of Health and Human Resources came in and made them. There were people working for this company who had not gotten a raise in 10 years when Focused Care finally gave them their $1 raise, only because they were forced to.

Pros

Good place to come in to get your experience. They give you 2 paid bereavement days if you're full time, in the event of a loss.

Cons

Pay is less than most others, no wage increases, insurance costs more than your paycheck, PTO takes an entire year to add up to 1 week, AND you have to work a whole year before you can use any of it. They take good people for granted. No real training for upper level staff.
