-Hire people with zero experience who don’t even know the terminology at times
-Pay is very low. We probably all qualify for food stamps.
-Company screams poor even though they’re not
-Communication is nonexistent
-Photog equipment always breaks
-No time to work on sweeps stories
-Asking for time off is a nightmare. Prepare to have your request be denied for no reason or not be checked until last minute.
-Overall, concerns have been presented to managers and nothing is ever done. They say they care about employee safety but when we express concerns, there’s no sympathy shown whatsoever until one of us loses a limb.
-Unfair workload in the newsroom - some do way more than others yet those who do very little get paid a ton. Explain the logic there.
