Pros

Fraser is truly an awesome company. You can tell that many of the people working here care much more about the type of work they do rather than just collecting a paycheck. Lots of the culture is centered around the value of the work and my experience has been surrounded by tons of very talented professionals who do a good job of not just telling you how to do something, but helping you learn

Cons

With growing so quickly, there's always growing pains. Lots of new positions means lots of movement internally and externally from the company which can make it feel like you're always surrounded by a new team and getting caught up to pace which can be a little stressful at times

Fraser truly endeavors to provide client centered care, and is genuinely interested in fostering a positive and supportive work culture which is so important in a field that can be very high stress.

Cons

Employees are required to use earned PTO for closed business days.

Thank you! Our aim is always to provide client-centered care through the work of our amazing and talented staff! This culture is what sets us apart. Thank you for working hard to provide great service to our clients and families. Regarding PTO, Fraser adjusted PTO accrual rates to account for closed business day usage. This is in place to make sure that when we are closed, our staff are paid the same as a typical work week. If you want to discuss accrual rates further, please email askhr@fraser.org We'd be happy to talk further. Thanks again!

Pros

Flexible scheduling for exempt employees Positive team culture Interaction with clients On-going training and productive team meetings One hour computer/task time in the morning prior to clients arriving, and about 30 mins after clients leave, and sometimes during the day when clients go to other services.

Cons

Structurally not the best design for kids Over-crowded classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and break rooms. No close parking for everyone- about a 15 min walk from the designated parking lot. Fast turn over for staff Inconsistent teaching styles Lack of employee appreciation Lack of communication Repetitive issues that are not addressed Improper sanitization/infection control and food handling. 30 min break which often feels like 20 mins because it takes time to settle in (microwaving food, clocking in/out, relocating personal items from room to room, using the bathroom, walking across the large building to get to the preferred break space). Group time is often stressful and disengaging. Daily billing/documentation is tedious. Scheduling staff and clients could be done more fairly by using a consistent template that gets changed every once in a while to prevent favoritism among teachers and clients.

Pros

Fraser is dedicated to its mission, clients and families and emphasizes work-life balance for employees. This organization consistently staffs collaborative and compassionate clinicians and supervisors. You will experience what true teamwork is and how much of a difference it makes in your job. The healthcare benefits have also improved in the last year and I think it's overall great coverage.

Cons

The wages are not as high compared to other similar roles at other organizations and there are rarely opportunities to get a bonus. However, what it lacks in pay it makes up in many other aspects that other employers don't measure up to.

Pros

Some supervisors are great. Decent pay. Fairly flexible.

Cons

Leadership is very company-focused vs. employee focused. Lack of warmth in workplace culture. Very high turnover rates. Very cookie cutter experience as an employee largely due to the size of the company.
